Tagore’s Songs : The Feeling of Ecstasy
My heart is dancing like a peacock , after feeling the gentle touch of my hair on the eyelashes. Why? Because it’s raining, associated with a stormy wind. This kind of expression enthralling the human feelings with nature, engages our attention throughout Tagorean writings.
Tagore and I have met many times at the crossroads of life and nature, as well as life beyond nature. Let’s go on an emotional journey with Tagore. Rabindranath Tagore.
Songs that feature nature are classified as “Prakriti Parjaay” in his classification of six types (or “Parjaays”) of songs.
He cast Summer as an unkind hermit who creates a one-of-a-kind play of excruciating pain and struggle in preparation for Rains’ powerful resurrection.
Tagore portrayed a woman in Rainy Season who happens to be the poet’s dream, sketched by the stormy night of uncontrollable splashes of rain. All of its details are manifested with a message to bring memory and experience together.
Autumn is the sweet sixteen year. Though nature welcomes all the energy and brightness that comes with crop harvesting and the beautiful, bright light of the sun, the shallow darkness awakens its gloomy side as well. As in the case of a teenager, truly unpredictable.
Winter is an older and more experienced man who is travelling with a lot of luggage. The chill and dryness conjure up images of a monk fleeing the hills in search of death from the elements.
But it is finally spring that reveals the truth hidden beneath the dry leaves. It is the energy that lies beneath all the elaborate depictions so far. As a result, the only thing on the other side of darkness is happiness.
And now for Tagore’s exact character. He never portrayed an unkind dead end in any situation, nor did he have a negative outlook on life. No matter how old we are, we can be delighted by reading his poetry or identify our own experiences with his writings. It is eternal; it is ecstasy.
